Sister Jan Greenwell

Jan Greenwell:
I am the 2nd of 4 children and was born and raised in West Weber.  Some of my husband Joes’ family (Grandparents, some aunts, uncles and cousins lived in West Weber.  I grew up in the same ward with them.)   Our son-in-law Brian Staples is from West Weber.  (I’ve known his Grandma Jean and his mother Carla my whole life.)  Small World!!!   After we were married we lived in West Weber for 2 1/2 years then bought our 1st house in North Ogden and lived there for 4 years (the house where the Morris family now live.)   My mother was born and raised in North Ogden and loved it here.  It didn’t take us long to see why.  We then moved over one street and lived and raised our 2 children there for 22 years.  It’s been just about 14 years since Staci and Brian Staples bought that house and we built across the street.  Yes that makes about 40 years and 3 houses in North Ogden and we haven’t even moved a full block.  We love the area, the gorgeous view of the mountains and the down to earth terrific neighbors we have.  I’ve always said this is a” low maintenance” ward.  There are no “attitudes” or “keep up with the Jones” here.  I feel so thankful to have been a stay at home mom and raise our children- Staci and Brett- here.   And now 3 out of 4 grandchildren live across the street and we can see them as often as we want.  Staci and Brian’s children are Kennedy 10, Oaklan 4 and Rigley 7 months.  Brett and Amber’s daughter Tessa Joe is 9 months and they live in the Washington Terrace.    At this stage of our lives we have the freedom and health to enjoy traveling, going to car shows and spending time with fantastic friends.   We feel so very blessed.
